Overview

The goal of this National Native Alcohol and Drug Abuse Program is to improve the overall client based health services for individuals and families through delivery of substance abuse counselling/programming while addressing all aspects of a person’s well being, including interpersonal issues, through effective coordination with Human Wellness Services staff. The aim is to coordinate services and programming to clients who require substance counselling, detoxification, assessment, prevention, treatment and aftercare.

Support May Include:

  • Referral to Treatment Centres
  • Assessments
  • Aftercare and Support after releasing from substance abuse
  • Referrals to other services as appropriate
  • Relationship building
  • Healing and Empowerment
  • Resource Information
  • White Bison Wellness Programs
  • One-on-One Counselling concerning
    • Issues related to post traumatic stress
    • Positive relationships with self and family
    • Defusing and debriefing in personal crisis incidents
    • Stress Management
