Your Community Partner
The Oneida Police Service is responsible for policing the roads and property of the Oneida Nation of the Thames, including in partnership with surrounding communities.
Our primary goal is to keep the community safe and to build positive relationships with all members.
The Oneida Nation of the Thames has an approximate on–reserve population of 2,159. With the Nation’s proximity to major highways such as the 401 corridor and larger cities such as London and St. Thomas these factors bring in an additional 5, 000 motorists daily through the territory.
Oneida Nation Police Services enforce Band Council Resolutions, The Criminal Code of Canada and the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The geographical jurisdiction does not limit or restrict the authority of the Oneida Nation Police Services as sworn peace officers for the Province of Ontario.
